CBIC Notifies Digitization Of Customs Bonded Warehouse Procedures

On September 30, 2024, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) launched a new Warehouse Module on ICEGATE to digitize Customs Bonded Warehouse procedures. This initiative aims to simplify processes and improve the ease of doing business. The module facilitates online applications for Warehouse Licenses, enables the transfer of warehoused goods, and allows for the electronic submission of monthly returns.

The Warehouse Module will allow users to upload scanned copies of Monthly Returns in PDF format on ICEGATE. Corresponding officers can then download these documents for required actions. Warehouse owners or authorized representatives must ensure accurate filing of details in their monthly returns to facilitate proper reconciliation of warehoused goods.

This initiative is part of the CBIC's continuous efforts to modernize customs procedures and improve operational efficiency in managing bonded warehouses.
