The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) recently issued Notification No. 74/2024-Customs (N.T.), amending the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment Regulations, 2018. The notification, issued under various provisions of the Customs Act, 1962, introduces changes to the compliance deadlines specified within the regulations.
The notification notably revises the submission deadlines for entries in the Sea Cargo Manifest table. The new deadlines for Sr. No. 4, Sr. No. 5, and Sr. No. 6 have been set to November 15, 2024, November 30, 2024, and January 15, 2025, respectively. This amendment is intended to help stakeholders in maritime transport comply with the updated customs timelines.
The regulations will take effect immediately upon their publication in the Official Gazette.
