The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) issued Advisory No. 461 on November 29, 2024, introducing an e-invoice glossary and a detailed step-by-step guide. This resource aims to help taxpayers better understand and comply with e-invoicing requirements under GST.
The system enables businesses to generate invoices using their existing Accounting, Billing, or ERP systems and submit them to any of the six authorized Invoice Registration Portals (IRPs) at no cost. Taxpayers with an annual turnover exceeding ₹5 crore are required to comply with e-invoicing regulations.
A dedicated e-Invoice master portal offers taxpayers access to essential information such as IRP links, schema, and master codes. This advisory serves as a comprehensive resource, helping businesses comply with e-invoicing requirements and streamline their GST processes.
