The Supreme Court in a statement on Wednesday has recommended nine names for appointment as judges in the Apex Court to the Centre, PTI informed. The names include three women high court judges, for appointment as judges in the Supreme Court.
The Collegium has for the first time, in one single resolution, recommended three women judges.
It said in a statement that the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on August 17, has recommended names of four chief justices of different high courts for elevation as Supreme Court judges.
