Supreme Court Notifies Advocate On Record Exams; To Be In June 2025

The Supreme Court has announced the schedule for the 2025 Advocate-on-Record Examination. Advocates who have completed one year of continuous training—starting after the fourth year from the date of their enrolment and ending on or before April 30, 2025—or who will complete such training before the exam begins, will be eligible to appear for the examination.

The notification clarified that, as per Regulation 11(iv) of the Advocate-on-Record Examination Regulations, a candidate is allowed a maximum of five attempts to appear for the exam. An appearance in even a single paper will count as one attempt. Therefore, candidates who have already exhausted all five chances are not eligible to apply for the AOR Examination scheduled for June 2025.
